Take the “Magical Demystifying Tour” that ISO offers on their website. This “tour” contains: the basics of ISO 9000, definitions of terms, certification process, helpful hints, use of the ISO logo and more.
Your business or organization does not have to be certified in order to comply with ISO 9000 standards. Certification is optional based on the particular needs of your organization.
The ISO website contains a directory of ISO certifying bodies in your country.
You can find out more about the ISO 9000 standards in the free brochure, “ISO 9000 - Selection and Use.”
Because it is copyrighted, it is very important that you understand the proper use of the ISO logo after certification. Their website gives very specific examples and uses.
Go to your National Standards Body, if your organization needs help in the clarification or interpretation of ISO 9000 standards. The ISO website is not designed to individually answer these questions.
