  • To make sure to kill dust mites and other allergens that may be on bedding, wash bedding in temperatures hotter than 140 degrees or by adding a special laundry product that can kill dust mites at any temperature.

  • Keep the humidity in your house as low as possible. This will help to decrease the dust mite population in your home.

  • Wash stuffed animals that your child sleeps with regularly. This can also help to reduce the number of dust mites. If the stuffed animal is not washable, put it in a zip lock bag and place it in the freezer for 24 hours.

  • If you have an allergic reaction to a down pillow or comforter, this does not necessarily mean that you have to give it up. By simply purchasing covers or encasings for the pillow or comforter, you can enjoy the quality of down without experiencing any of the allergy symptoms.

  • Before purchasing Allergy Bedding, go see a physician to see if he thinks Allergy Bedding would benefit you. This could save you time and money.
