Speed: On major factor that people look at is how fast your web pages open and display information on their screens. If your site is mismanaged, speed suffers. The pages don’t load as fast. This will cause many people to loose interest and leave and maybe not come back.
Navigation: If a website is not managed properly, there could become too many pages that may not even be linked together. If this happens, your navigation will be off. Nothing turns a visitor off more than a website with poor navigation.
Dead links: Other thinks that can happen if a website is not managed correctly is a lot of dead links. If your visitors see this there goes your credibility. Your site cannot contain dead links or typos.
Purge outdated content: If you are not careful, your website can become a basement full of junk. That’s right. Soon your website will contain old and outdated web pages that have no meaning anymore other than to take up needed space. Therefore you need to remove old pages often to keep the site under control and to provide you with space you need for newer content.
Old programs: One of the worst things that can happen is when a visitor comes to your site, clicks on a link to run a certain program and gets an error message that a certain file is missing or corrupt and the browser will close. This could be caused by an updated web page with the file having been removed and the link wasn’t removed. So make sure all pages have the links that are removed if they don’t work anymore.
