The aerospace industry can be divided into two quite large segments. The larger of the segments includes the firms which produce aircraft, engines, and parts for the aircraft and can be further divided according to whether the products they produce are for civil aircraft or military aircraft. The other segment is made up of firms who produce guided missiles and space vehicles, propulsion units, and parts.
