  • Consider the type of broker you need. There are full service and discount brokers. With a discount professional, you will make many of your own decisions based on personal research, but it will cost less. A full service broker charges more and does more.

  • Hire a professional trader that shows capability in helping you keep your managed future growing by staying on top of market trends, diversifying your funds, and using proper money management techniques that balance the risks involved in investment and protect your profits.

  • Diversify your managed futures investments by trading in a variety of markets with a variety of trading styles. (One way that this can be done is by utilizing several professional traders, since they’ll have different strategies.)

  • Remember that you are responsible for your financial decisions, including the use of managed futures. They can be an excellent way to diversify your portfolio, and the CTAs managing it are trained to help you. However, any losses you incur are your responsibility.
